Parents and Family Orientation is designed for parents and families of new incoming students to learn about the transition into life at York University. By getting the information you need to support success for your student, this orientation will give parents and families facts about student services, a taste of university experience and an option to take a campus tour. As coming to university is an important decision, we want to connect with parents/families to answer all their questions.

PARENT AND FAMILY INFO NIGHTS
We know that starting university can be both an exciting time and also bring mixed emotions for parents and family members. This 1.5 hour session will help parents prepare for both the challenges and excitement that their student face as they begin the next chapter of their life at York University.
This session covers key campus resources available to students and will provide parents with an inside look on the transition process that takes place during university. They will have a chance to hear from senior students along with campus partners including campus security and student financial services. This session identifies ways that parents can support the students and help them thrive in the critical first months of university.
